We were on holiday from Canada, visiting family in Nantwich, and they chose The Thatch to celebrate my birthday. What a terrific choice! The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, just how I imagine and know good English pubs to be. Service was efficient and friendly. I had the Lamb Henry, which was deliciously tender, and my daughter said the fish and chips were crisp and tasty. No one at the table had any complaints about the food or service and I can see why it’s rated so highly on Trip Advisor. Thanks for a wonderful birthday! CanuckFoodie

Having passed this beautiful looking pub several times I thought it was about time we tried it out. It was definitely the right decision, lovely looking old style inn inside, well-stocked bar including real ale, all the staff seemed really friendly. Both my partner and I opted for the roast beef Sunday dinner, you can definitely tell it’s home cooked, tasted delicious, roast potatoes were crispy, vegetables cooked to perfection, beef was delicious, will definitely be back and will recommend.

What a lovely quality Restaurant this is. From the fabulous looking outside to the beautiful warm inside this is the standard all should look up to, but I know many will never reach. The service and meals were faultless and nothing was too much trouble.
